Giss a kiss lol

Pictures aren't great as they all move so quick. Will get the Guppies when my patience holds out a little longer.

Nice pics. Have you posted a tank-wide picture yet? If so I think I missed it somewhere.

Gonna do a tank wide shot and a feeding time video as the Glowlights are hilarious when feeding, almost like little Pirhanas lol have to get rid of the whitespot a couple of them have first though. Thanks Gvilleguy.

Cool - I'll look forward to see it. I fed frozen bloodworms to my Danios and Neons yesterday, and the Neons went absolutely nuts. It was hilarious watching them try to suck down 2 - 3 worms at once.

Have to admit the Tetras are my favourite !! The Glowlights are so fast when feeding, they shoot up to the surface like bullets !!and the clever little neons hover underneath catching the bits that fall during the frenzy. They dont really seem to group together though. The Neons stay at the bottom level of the tank whilst the Glowlights are always in the middle. They are growing so quick too. Feisty little things but all seem to be getting on really well. So recommend the Glowlights. I am over the moon I got them as they are so entertaining.

Well, have started the traetment for Ich. Have raised the tank temp and lowered the water level slightly to increase oxygen levels in the water. Neons and Glowlights seem really happy as do the Gouramis. Guppies were a bit stressed when meds were introduced but after lowering the water level they seem a great deal happier. If there is anything else anyone can think of that I should be doing then please let me know.

Have just read that after a course of Ich treatment that it's good to give the fish a dose of Melafix to help them on the road to recovery. Is this a good idea does anybody know ? does it really help get them back to full strength ?? Have never used the product before so want to be sure.

Have lost yet another Guppy today. All other fish are really well and brightly coloured. All seem to be feeding well to. Water stats are great and Ammo/Nitrite has stayed at zero with no spikes. Ich treatment is on day 3 now. The other two Guppies look bright but then so did the one that died. If the other two don't make it either then are not going to buy any more. Will wait until around 4wks after tank has finished treatment and will get either the Glowlights or some Black Skirt Tetras instead.

I followed the same type of pattern as you - we added 4 guppies after tank was cycled, and within 2 weeks they all died (even a 5th that we got as a swap out). The guppies would look vigorous and happy, but then would suddenly stop swimming and hang near the top of the tank. I could always tell within 12 hours of losing one that it was in trouble. But no visible signs of illness. So we stopped with guppies. All I can figure is they didn't like my very soft, acidic water. The danios, glofish, and neons have all done very well.

I don't quite understand whats going on. I initially had 4 Guppies. Two were savagely attacked by the Gourami (which was re-homed) He quite literally huge chunks from their Caudal fins. The one which had been attacked the worst died a couple of days later, followed the next day by the other one which had been badly attacked. On the days that they died they seemed to spend all of their time away from all the other fish in a corner on their own. I got a couple more as replacements as the water stats were fine no ammo or Nitrite. A couple of days after introducing the new ones I noticed one of the new guppies had a few spots on it's tail. Initially I though it was from the sand but then the following day the female Gourami had them and a couple of the Black neons did too. Started treatment for whitespot. The one that I think bought it in has a white body so when I looked at it through a magnifier, could see it was infested. This one died the day I started the Whitespot treatment.

The one that died today was from my first batch introduced 3wks ago. He was a big healthy looking Guppy but he followed the same pattern, rapid Gill movement, drooping Caudal fin. I knew as soon as he went into the corner to hide that it was all over. When I took him out today, he looked like his anal area was rotting. The skin was white but looked like a crater. Water is tested twice a day and all is well so I have no idea what is going on. All the other fish are doing really well. The 12 Neons are thriving and the 2 Gourami's likewise. I have 2 Guppies left who look really well but I just don't know.

My Ph is high but then it seems it's only the Guppies who are having problems so i'm not sure if it's that or not. If it was the Ph then surely the Neons would be struggling do you think ?? All of the spots have fallen off the infected fish except one of the Guppies who still has a couple left. I guess i'm just going to have to play it by ear and hope it's nothing i'm doing, or not doing as the case may be.
