I was rushing through Wal-Mart recently and glanced at the betta section and thought I saw a beautiful crowntail. When I went back to look for it again, it was gone. Have you ever seen Wal-Mart selling bettas that aren't VT? No bashing please
::sighs, reluctantly places bashing stick back in its holder::
Anyways, my wallmart often has crowntail mixes, or imperfect crowntails. Probably breeder's rejects for one reason or another; most of the ones I've seen either had irregular rays, or were just ugly examples of the type for a lack of a better words.
I've seen CT and DT females at Walmart, and once... only once... there was a shipment of some REALLY nice breeder quality CT males. Their rays were perfectly straight, no kidding. My friend bought one of them and I'm amazed he came from Walmart every time I see him.
My WM used to have CT males also. They weren't the rejects either, they were beautiful an sold fairly quickly. Luckily the don't sell them anymore, and now only get about 4-5 bettas in at a time.
