Other Coldwater Fish...

Firstly, Hello everyone.
I have been a stalker of these pages for a while but this is my first post.
I have always kept goldfish/fantails but recently i got a larger tank and have stocked it with, White cloud minnows, leopard danios and weather loaches aswell as a sucker thing(don't know name)/ Today i went into what is supposedly the best fish shop in my town and asked advice on what other species i could keep in my tank and the reply i got was "you need to have it heated". Needless to say that's the last time i go there.
Can anybody help with ideas for other fish i could keep in my coldwater tank, something slightly larger than my danios and with a bit of colour. ANy help is greatly appreciated.

If the sucky thing is a Chinese algae eater, you'll want to rehome it before it hurts your other fish (they can turn bad quite suddenly). And if it's a hillstream loach, your most likely going to have to do some modifications of the tank so it will live longer (they usually die after a few months in a normal tank).
