Hi just a quick question just added 3 albino tiger oscars to my tank which already contained a red tailed black shark and 2 clown loaches and a sailfin and hong kong pleco, just wandered

1. the lfs said the others would b fine with the oscars i am dubious

2. would a sand substrate be ok rather than the gravel?

ps the oscars are only about 1-2 inches at the moment

Sand is fine as long as its pool sand because it wont raise your ph, getting the nice corel sand will send your ph sky rockecting.

As for your other fish, the oscars will kill them with in the week, sorry to come on strong.
2 Oscars will need a MIN of 90g as well with weekly water changes.

ok thanks time to move the house mates out, i thought that my self, and they are in a 150g tank so that should be fine, but i will have to buy another tank for the others oh well upset the mrs again. just another quickie how will the otheers the clown loach sharks and plecs do with sand
