hi, im no expert on oscars but my boyfriend has two in his tank, one red oscar and one albino, and they get on great with other fish, as long as you keep your oscars well entertained and well fed they should get along fine, alot of people prefer to keep them separated from other fish as they are known to eat smaller ones, my boyfriend from day one of buying his oscars kept putting his hand in the tank everyday sometimes more than once a day to stroke and play with them they are now to grown very well tamed fish and such a pleasure to watch, i hope this has helped you in some way

It would help if you could list the specific Africans but in general I wouldn't.

They have different dietary needs (of which the Oscars diet can kill some African cichlids) and in most cases the African cichlids will be more aggressive and when larger the Oscar may consider them food.

I wanted to get Malawian cichlids African Peacock Marble, Red Top Ice Blue Cihlid, Giraffe Cichlid,
Red Zebra Cichlid do you think these fish would be alright with an oscar.

You would also have to consider water. Oscars are from South America (mostly soft, acidic/neutral), whereas the Rifts live in hard alkaline water.
