if you have a mature filter for the tank then yes i would, even if its just to avoid the other one getting it if its spreadable

i don't have a mature filter but got a spare one not in use if i plug it in now with an aerator and start it and squeeze my primary filter in t's tank how long till it'll settle???

are you absolutely sure it's not fungus?? can i add salt to the tank just in case i have friends doing it quite a lot when their fish gets sick

I would do anything I could think of as a precautionary measure, so yes.

dude this is fungus now i'm getting sure the description i've heard about fungus this fits it so now i'm trying salt bathing he's down and going out too soon

So he isn't any better today?

well he died last night sometime i was not @ home don't know any causes of how he died i need to know how it died cause the other one is also showing the same signs he's low now idk if it is because he died or something but i'm worried now

That's bad news, very bad news.

Does the other have the lightened patch or just the symptoms?

he has a few spots that have lost color but he's looking etter now

i am not treating him with any medications just salt

keeping my fingers crossed

ya well i have one question though i have been adviced by a few friends that i should not feed him till he recovers considerably what do you suggest???

I would still feed him however not as often, maybe once every two days.

oh well i used to feed him 2'wice every day till they got sick so that's quite a cut
