Thought I'd share pictures of our other obsession, the two carpet sharks that rule the house.

I was trying to fix the tub while they were being cleaned, and Oscar stole my screwdriver and swam around with it lol:

Next up is sleepy time, this is what they're best at.

and when you have a really sleepy ferret, you can really mess with them...

These guys are our children, and are the best pets we've ever had.

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

hi,
sweetness over load  ,
they look so cute asleep together.
all the best donna, with 1 parrot 2 gerbils and a bpxer pup to come very soon :hyper:

Those are two of the cutest ferrets I've ever seen. Are they related?? How long have you had them?? They are really gorgeous, I love Oscar in the bath. To adorable. Do they like swimming then??

:D

Ziggy was born in january, oscar was born in march and we bought them in may I believe. They came from the same breeder and they're both male but i doubt they're related (they are completely different personalities).

They do like to swim, it startled the hell out of me the first time we gave them a bath and they started literally diving underwater, head and all. When we bathe them they tolerate it, but when we fill up containers and such with water they go wild.

nice! can ferrets be let out and not have to be in a cage all the time without supervision? Are they bad for people with allergies because im allergic to cats but i can have dogs. I have a hamster and he doesn't give me allgergies so im not sure...

Yes, they can be but they can get into absolutely anything they want. It's called ferret-proofing you home, and it's 2 times more work and child-proofing.

Also, Cj is somewhat allergic to cats but doesn't seem to be allergic to the carpet sharks.

These guys are our BABIES  As for allergies, I've always been very allergic to cats/molds/the entire outdoors, but the ferrets really don't bother me. We keep up on them pretty well I think, they get baths every week and such, thier bedding gets washed every week, all that so I'm sure that helps. As for them running around- they have thier own bedroom (can you say spoiled??), and the hallway that leads to the bedrooms/bathroom (we are in an apartment) has a babygate at the end. So they can run through that hallway, thier bedroom, the bathroom and sometimes our bedroom. The rest of the apartment is a little too iffy for them to be out without supervision. Sweetest pets you will ever get!
