My newest cories  Unfortunately I lost 2 of them, but their colours are stunning. Just ignore the angel - I could'nt get a decent photo of the cories as they are zipping about everywhere in their new tank.
And I've just realised how horrible my swords are looking - they need a good trim :*)

wow they are really nice.is orange laser their common name???if not too cheeky, how much were they??

The lfs said they were called Corydoras Roberti (I think), but commonly called orange lasers. I have'nt found anything on Google about them as Roberti though - I had thought originally that they were a form of Bronze cory. They cost me *cough cough* £10 each - and I lost 2 of them. :X They are stunning fish in the flesh though - I'd love to get some more and see if I can breed them. I'd make a mint at that sort of money :hey:

look at pictures on a site called corydaras world.should find out what they are on the site.

They are Lovely !
The-Wolf said they just got the Orange Laser and Green Laser Cories in at £7.95 each - I'm very very temped

Nice price - I can recommend them. Absolutely gorgeous fish. I just wish I had'nt lost 2 of them. I also lost 4 gold shouldered cories earlier, bringing my fishie losses to about £50 this month - OUCH!! :X I seem to have problems with the expensive cories at the start - typical.

Thanks for the tip Rixy - I'll do that. :)

Make sure you acclimatise them slowly and introduce them into your tank with the lights off. Usually with corys it is simply a case of people not introducing them properly and the little guys getting stressed too much.

With all my fish I always do the 20 minue temperature equalizing then I take them and pour their bag into a net and when they hit the net, into the tank straight away, turn the lights out, cover the tank with a heavy towel and leave them alone for the night. Haven't lost any fish yet. Cories seem to do especially well with that.

Why dont your drip acclimate? It takes a lot longer but works extremely well. I introduced 12 Neons into my 29, dripped them for 2 hours and didnt lose one...normally I'd lose 1/2 of them.

I did all of the above - left in bag in darkened tank for a couple of hours - little bit of water added every 10 mins during that period. Then when they were finally added, I left the lights off until the next day, as I usually do. The QT tank is in my bedroom, so its quiet and dark, as I leave the curtain shut all the time there. I lost the first one very quickly , after 2 days - he had always looked less active than the others and then the second one 3 days after that - again really quickly. No external signs. I dosed the tank with anti-internal bacteria med and the rest were fine. Believe me, I did not want to take any chances with them, as they cost a bomb. I even phoned the lfs and had a long chat with the owner to see if I'd missed something and he could'nt think of anything else to do, that I had'nt done already. Still lost some :dunno:

whats the ph etc in the lfs???check to see if anything differs from yours.
