Yesterday my oranda was swimming about happily until about 5 oclock when it suddenly started acting eratically, turning somersaults, swimming upside down then floating on its side until eventually it died and I have no idea why :unsure:. I had had it for about 2 weeks and it looked healthy

exactually what happened to my 'oranda'! R.I.P.

Your fish died of a swimbladder disorder, but swimbladder disorders can be caused by numerous things, to find out what exactly caused the swimbladder disorder in the fish we need more info on your situation;

How many gallons is the tank you were keeping the fish in?
How long had the tank been set up?
Does the tank have a filter, and if so, what type of filtration?
How often do you do water changes on the tank and how much do you take out on average?
Do you use dechlorinator
How many fish are in the tank and their types exactly and sizes roughly?
How often do you feed the fish and how much on average? What do you feed the fish?
