okay...maybe this will make more sense...I saw my molly biting the underside and sides of my platies..he shoves them against the glass and nips them head to tail..could he have taken up some scales?my LFS says yes...recommended salt water bath to heal...also i did this an' added some bio coat w/a 5-7ish%water change...is is supposed to be yellow??? oh well...it's in... I was thinkin' if the rest of you think this is probly the cause of my dilemna...i sure hope it is 
then
1. should i but another fish...that's what I was gonna do this weekend as the tank has cycled...i think the little molly is getting annoyed at his tankmates... wants a friend
2. or put a tank divider in for a couple days, continue to treat for a wound and see without his input if things heal up...the only thing is...the platies are kinda agressive towards each other (2 males) so I don't know if they're causing this too...
