Hi,

I have a 32 gal tank with a Light Glo 80cm canopy (part of the Waterhom 32 Euro kit). The canopy has 2x24" 20W fluorescent tubes but they don't give enough light for my plants. What options do I have? Can I use those coralife 24" 75W fluorescent tube in my canopy?

While I don't think heat would be too much of an issue, the coralifes are VHO bulbs, and your ballast won't fire them up.
You could get the correct ballast however, and with minimal wiring, should be able to use then easily.

Also bear in mind that if these lamps are for reef set-up's as the name suggests, the spectrum will not be suitable for plants. For planted tanks, you'll need full spectrum 5000K-6500K lamps, reef lamps can easily be over 10000K up to 18000K which is next to useless.

Thanks for the advice. I will look into that before I do any modification. I have a planted tank and I want to increase the wattage to the suitable level.
