Ok so last night I started a topic "considering moving to marines", I have thought about it over night and am now very confused haha

So here is what I have at the moment...... a 5ft 50gal/195litre FW tank running an Eheim 2213 external filter with a couple of air pumps running bubble bars inside and a smaller cube tank which is about 23gal/92litres running a small Elite Stingray 15 (I think), this tank is home to my turtle at the moment.

I wanted peoples opinions on which tank I should use for going marine, im tempted now by the 5 footer!!

If I did go with the 5 foot, am I thinking along the right lines now by saying I would do as follows......

add argonite sand and a load of live rock (havent worked out how much yet), change my light bulb to something more suitable for corals, empty the Eheim and fill with live rock rubble, argonite, activated carbon and filter wool and add a skimmer and some power heads??? oh and a heater!

I just want to make sure im thinking along the right lines really, I only have 2 silver dollars and 7 cory's in there so they could easily move into the small tank.

(Bollands has offered me 2 old skimmers he has, should I use both of these in the big tank??)

No worries matey, just pm'dyou so ignore that one lol thanks anyway

I would use the 5 footer myself this hobby is addictive you will regret using a smaller tank I have been keeping marines for about 3-4 months and already have 2 nanos and looking at a 5 x 2 x 2 in the next few months.

LR is a big investment but you can pick up bargains from tank shut downs mine cost me a fraction of the shop prices about £4.50 a Kg.

UR have a very active second hand section always good to keep an eye on it. :)
