LED from Aqua Essentials

I'm a Techno freak on my tank so allways looking for new gadgets.
Currently I have a T5 overtank Luminare just curious how these fit etc.. I have no lid and wondering if these are any good for plants?
I was under the impression these have limited *Wats* and spectrum not that it matters to much with the spectrum

you are best of speaking to Andy (supercoley1) about LED's, or put it in the title and he will look at this post. He made a DIY LED setup and attached it to a piece of wood to hange as a pendant over the tank.

Thanky mate, That thread is very good, I honestly did look at that some time ago but forgot, Might look into building a small setup myself and mix it with my normal lights to make the tank brighter
