Well, first I'd like to say hello to everyone and nice forum here!
I'm just wondering about different fish foods, as I have a few tanks, consisting of convicts, pink convicts, jack Dempsey's, jewel cichlids, severums, clown plecos, firemouth cichlid, red molly's, a rainbow gourami, and a few others.
I have a few brands of food, of course some being more expensive than others, mainly what I have is:
Omega One medium cichlid pellets.
Wardley cichlid pellets.
and Hikari Cichlid Gold
reading the labels I can see different variations in ash, crude fiber, crude fat, crude protein, phosphorus, oil, fiber, viramins, etc.......but I don't know exactly what it all means for my fish, I of course want a food to keep them colorful and nice, but also very healthy and disease fighting....
one of the biggest thing I noticed was the Wardley says 1,400mg per kg of vitamin c. the Hikari says (added vitamins) 75mg per kilogram. what difference does this make?
what overall do you think is a better food? I know they love the omega one and Hikari better, but sometimes just because you like something better doesn't necessarily means it's better for you.
or is there something better than any of the 3 I listed? I just want the best for my fish.
Thanks for any info..... have a great day
