:D While just looking at the lfs, I saw the neatest thing...they had some type of mollusk with a fan shaped hinged shell in a few of their tanks. I'm sure it was a fresh water tank. They were about the size of a quarter or nickel. They were alive...I saw them moving and squirming under the gravel  :hyper: I didn't have time to find someone to ask about them, so I figured I'd come here and get more accurate info. :D From my lacking description (lol) anyone know what they are, requirements, ect.? I'd really appreciate it...it'd be a great addition to my "unique" gang in my tanks. :)

I went to the lfs and found out they are gold freshwater clams. I got two...lol Anyone heard of them or have any? Or are they really common and boring and I've just now caught on?

Thanks...I found some info on them, and it said they like to be near a current, so I put them near the output of my filter, and it looks like they've opened up a little bit. I didn't think I'd find a clam cute   They are so neat...I'm glad I found them...I have something pretty "unique" now :hyper: :hyper:

I read on another message board that when they die, they pollute the water and are toxic for the other fish. I also read, that they don't live that long. The message board I read was against it.
I was tempted to buy one myself when I first heard about it. But, if I am not hear, and it dies, I wouldn't want it to affect my other fish.

Again, this is what I read so I don't know how true it is.

How do you feed it anyway?
