Fish Fanatic
Man I'm so unbelieveably mad/upset/sad right now! I went to feed my new baby Royal Clown Knifefish this morning and was absolutely shocked to see that ONE OF IT'S EYEBALLS IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After much
I finally brought myself back to the tank to see him eating his food as if nothing had happened. I've kept large predatory fish for a number of years, but I have never had this happen. He's in a seperate 55 gallon tank by himself, and I made absolutely sure that there was nothing sharp in there for him to potentially hurt himself on. But somehow, my gorgeous young knife now lacks his left eye. He swims normally, if now slightly tilted to one side, and eats normally.... But is there potential infection dangers? Should I get him in my hospital tank with Melafix? Or should I just let him go as he is now?
It breaks my heart to see my little darling with an enourmous hole in his head, not to mention the fact that if he does grow up, he'll still be missing that eye...![-( :-( :-(](/images/smilies/ipb/cry1.gif)
