I have an empty high 20 gallon. I am looking in on putting some Dwarf Puffers in it. People have told me that I could put about 6 in a normal 20 gallon, since the 20 high is much more narrow (bottom 24inch by 12 inch - hight 16 inch) and does not supply enough terratory for 6. So how many could I put in a 20 high? :/

really just three. I was hoping for 4
If you want four just have lots of tall plants to provide hiding spots up top.

I'm sure you could fit 4 in there, but be prepared in case there are too many conflicts. With 4 they'll still have about 72 square inches, plus the height, as their territories so that should be alright.

Plus, with the extra height, you could probably get quite a school of otos or something at the bottom!

If you want to add extra terratories you can buy decor (or make your own) that you can stick on to the glass with suckers.

That would be crazy, but you would only be able to set things up in the back, and plants would look better IMO.
