so the other day my peacock eel jumped and killed its self. ( while i was trying to feed the tank) im thinking of getting a new eel but dont want a new peacock its to soon. would a fire eel be ok in a 90 gallon?

they reckon a fire eel at full size requires a 400 ltr tank if it reaches full size, 90 Galls is about 340 ltrs, so would probably be OK I would imagine, Hopefully someone else will be able to tell you definitely.

in short NO, Fire Eels will need something in the region of 150+ gallons at adulthood to lie happily in .

its all good im planing a bigger tank for my knife eel duet. 130+ he should be coll in that right. also its gunna have increased floor space in hope of getting a stingray of some small veriety like a retculated or motoro.
