one of my fish has layed eggs

Hi,
Hopefully someone can help me, one of my fish have layed eggs today and i am not sure if i should take them away and put them in a seperate tank.I dont know which type of fish they are so i have enclosed photos of the parents.The parents seem to be guarding the eggs this is why i was unsure whether to take the eggs away or not.

P.S i am sure the fish are chilids,they are pink all over and are round shaped

What size tank and are they rather aggressive? How big are they? What does their 'nest' look like? What is your pH (are the new world or african cichlids) and what other fish do you have?

I am guessing you are reffering to pink convicts but this is little more than a guess. However, if this is what you have they'll be very aggressive towards other fish and will raise the fry un-aided. Leave them to it but be prepaired to take out the growing fry once the parents begin to show aggression towards them and be aware of the huge number of little fish you'll be looking to re-home. You can feed the fry (once they are free-swimming) on baby brine shrimp and they'll also take crushed flake and many frozen or freeze-dried (small) foods). The parents also help to feed them and there will be tiny organisms already in your tank if you have snails, plants and an established tank (or any combination there-of).

The tank they are in is 1'x1'x2'

I have 3 gouramis
1 plec
6 sailfin mollys
10 small platys
6 black widows
2 rosey barbs
6 silvertip tetras

Thats all i have in that tank in my other i have
2 discus (1 is unwell )
2 tilapi
2 oscars
4 angels

Not sure about the ph level as it has not been checked in a while B)
