As some of you may have read, my black molly gave birth to 16 fry and ten remain. After the birth, Miss Molly was terribly stressed, swimming around frantically and giving herself diseases. I removed her from the five gallon and put her in her own well decorated two gallon and she immediately improved. Later in the week, however, she refused to eat and sulked behind her plants whenever I would look at her. The tank didnt have a light or filter and I think that upset her. I couldn't do much about it at the time, but today I was lucky enough to come into some money!

I immediately went out and bought her a cute little two gallon with an overhead light. I set it up in the morning, got it all nice and ready and tonight I transfered her into it. She was a bit hesitant at first, but I put in some flakes to see if she would eat them. She was SO happy. She only ate the red flakes though! It was the strangest thing. She would NOT TOUCH the other ones. She ripped them to shreds but spit them out again. I had to go through and pick out all the red ones to feed her.

*Shakes head* What a spoiled little brat, haha! I love Miss Molly.

Tomorrow, I will be getting my very first betta fish and possibly an african dwarf frog for company.

I take it u cycled the tank, etc etc..

Only got 1 fish? wont she be lonely? :(

Yes, the tank was already cycled. It was my brother's. She doesn't seem lonely. She seems alot happier to me. She didn't enjoy being in a tank with other fish at all. She didn't even like to have her tank near my tank with my other fish. She's doing great now. Eating, her fins aren't clamped together anymore, she doesn't lay on the bottom. She's quite happy.
