Hi i just bought some guppies from a store on Sunday and i found one dead this morning :( and another has disappeared :( i don't why or what killed them (im presuming the missing guppy is dead) when i bought them on sunday the guy in the shop told me that they had a customer in last few days who had a guppy die on the way down and he told me any problems at all for me to call them within 48 hours of buying the fish, now the other 3 remaining guppys seem to be rubbing them selves on the top of the tank for same reason, theres no obvious spots or anything that i can see on their scales. I have a Fluval Edge fishtank with 3 guppys and one baby Mollie, i dont think the guppy was sucked up the filter intake because i have the foam sponge over it, and it would physically impossible fit any fish throught the pre filter.
Please help is there anything i can do??

by "rubbing themselves on the top of the tank" do you mean swimming right at the surface? if so, I've been told thats what guppies do.

Also, if you read my other tread you'll see that some people say guppys are susceptible to stress, so maybe it was just that as it was with my lemon male guppy

I had a tetra that just disappeared once... I've had the entire tank out and I couldn't find him, no bones, no nothing o_O

Sorry to hear about your disappearing/dead ones :-(

thanks yeah im glad its a normal practise for guppys, i have no idea why one of the fish died it seemed to be abit strange yesterday it was hanging round the top of the tank then i found it this morning, for some reason the other guppy has completely disappeared im guessing them must of ate it!!

no i havn't spoke to you i dont think and plus a lot of people on here said guppies are suitable.
