OK folks.

Today was Hell for me...

As most of you may have read, we are moving in march and trying desperatly have not to buy more fish before we move.

However we still go and look... It was SO close today, we nearly spent nearly £300 on plecs (and I'm not joking :-( ) and then committed to owning a VERY big tank in the future.

How many of you have actually seen an adonis plec?
(Acanthicus hystrix or L155, Lyre Tail Pleco)
Well I've never seen them in the flesh (and didnt think i would) However they have 2! and they are only £50 each. they are both about 6" at the moment - but have the potential to be 24" monsters. (cool looking monsters at that)

Along with these they also have an L025 - scarlet plec (on our want list) he's £70!

So, so far thats £170...

add to this,
Another lone L129 (to go with the 5 we already have),
an LDA33 (large white spot)
a nice Blue spot L128
and a rather nice L114 leopard cactus

All 50% -75% fully grown - we were amazed - and gutted.

He is a pic of the Adonis plecs... (poo as it was taken on my camera phone)

The plan was to buy them and move anyway... and forget the plan for the marine tank...

the marine was/id going to be about 180 gals... but it may end up being tropical :)

Do it ;)

Go On, Go On, Go On !!! :D

Nice fish by the way mate ;)

If you want me to get those two Zebra plecs for £125 ea. just give me a shout :D :D

2 of my local LFS have had adonis plecs in recently !! Somebody must have found a stash of them!! Good luck with the move and the big tank
