Hiya, I bought 2 of my pandas around 3 weeks ago now and the other a week before that (I originally bought 2 but one died so I bought another 2 bringing my number upto 3).
I can't remember which one was the original one, but 1 of the 3 is suddenly much larger and braver than the rest! Is he just getting more food than them? Or is he becoming dominant and stopping the others from feeding? They are quite consiserably smaller than him which I find weird seeing as they all came from the same tank at the fish shop.
One of the smaller pandas has got a badly nipped tail fin, in another post I have bee told this will grow back as long as I keep my water levels good, which I've never had a problem with in this tank. But would the bigger cory/s have done this? Do they nip? Or is it more likely to have been one of my neons or cherries?
Thanks, Amy xx

Cory tailfins are known to get tatty on their own, especially pandas, its doubtful any fish did it. Chances are you have a female and two males but yes its always possible its feeding better than the others and growing faster. I wouldnt say you have anything to worry about.

I would say you have 1 female to 2 males going by the size,i notice with mine, females are alot chunkier than males :)

Its possible the tetras have been nibbling,do you have cover for the corys,w/c's are the best thing for tatty fins, they soon grow back :good:

Hiya, thanks for the responses.
Ahh I never thought of that, it's not so much 'fatter' than the rest cut just generally bigger and all the fins are perfect, where as my other two have more tatty fins, one it's tail fin, the other it's dorsal fin is looking a bit raggy.
I do weekly water changes but have also been putting. Bit of melafix in to help them along. My bigger panda does tend to hang round more with my much bigger Leucomela Cory's aswell rather than the other pandas.
Yeah I have plenty if cover for them, I've got a cave I've made out of rocks and a coconut cave also. They spend most of their time in the rock cave.
One more thing, one of my leucomela cories has become much darker in coloration. Is this normal? I have 2 and one is very light and the other is a more greyish black, but was never as dark as it is now when I first got them?
Thanks, Amy xx

colouration does differ between males and female, if concerned check your water stats, if they are good then its just nature taking its course.

Yeah my water stats are fine, I guess it's just nature then!
I'd love to be able to figure out which sex each are. I just decide for myself which they are by the looks of them but have no idea really lol
