USA,
i still have my 5 gallon tank. It had 2 hermit crabs in it but i decided to move them into my old 20 so they would have more room, not that they do anything anyways!

So i know I will have to have 5 lbs of live rock.
But what about sand, i would like to use kind of Carib Sea sand.

also, would a hang on back 5-15 powerfilter be okay for a 5 gallon as it is small?

I do want to useNutri-SeaWater, as I saw an advertisment in a magazine for it, and it seems really easy to use. Anyone ever used it or know how much it costs?

What kind of fish could be kept in there? And what about SW hermit crabs, my lfs and local petco sell them.

In a 5 gallon tank you can get away with hermits and other inverts.

Fish are not an option though. :/

5 gallon is a great place to put sexy shrimp and a few plants. Your filtration dose not have to be much because what you are putting in wont make much waiste nor will you need much current. I would also add 5 to 8 pounds of live rock for hiding places and filtration.

20 gallon tanks are very cheap... 20-30 dollars. 10 gallon tanks cost me 7 dollars!

Consider buying one of these (at minimum) if you would like to have fish.

i already have the 5, and do have the others, but using them

well the 5 is going to be used for my other crabs as they do nothing.
