OMG My Hagen Stand is Damaged!!!!

Hi as you know i set up my new Hagen tank and Hagen stand up over the weekend and i noticed when i went into the cupboard (TODAY) that in the top right hand corner where the self tapping screws go into the chipboard, the chipboard has come away!!!! I don't belive it i spent whole of saturday setting it up, aquascaping it and running it and now i have to strip it down, drain all the water off, remove some of my fish!!!!! a day wasted!!!

Just to swap the tank stand over and then re-fill, re do the aquascape!!!!



The aquarium where i got it from checked it over before i bought it, i had the display model that was out because they didn't have any left in the stock room!!! The guy said yep it's fine put it in my car and off home i went.

Now there should be a delivery tonight approx 6pm but can't garnteee it will be on the lorry!!!! no other stores around me stock Hagen stands as they are all waiting for deliveries to.

What do i do in the mean time? sit and twiddle my thumbs? i had to cancel my two jobs today because of this and i'm not well either.

Just wanna screeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

I thought this hobby was meant to be stress releasing?

hmmm unlucky i now just put my replacement stand together and it's gone exactly the same way!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!! totally crap stands, cheap chip board.

Rolf C. Hagen...hmmm...stay away from that man

A few years back, we used to sell those stands at a pet store I worked at. They would usually all get all wobbly or collapse within weeks of setting them up. And that was without water in the tanks, just the empty tanks, displays of the started kits. Always made me wonder how the stand designed for the 30 gallon would hold up 300 lbs of water, plus the weight of the tank...

re enforce them with wood glue, built like a rock now. absolutely fab, tank looks much better
