today began very much like every day. i wake up at 5am turn on the fishtanks lights, and say hi too all my fish. all were ALIVE and well tearlier this morning.

now i recently just got home, went to my tank to feed the fish. When i look down i see the horrible sight oh two of my tetras mutilated :-( , one of them with the stomach ripped open the other with no sotmach at all.

now i wanna know who the culprit is. i think its the betta but i could be wrong could someone plz tell me which fish couldve done this?

p.s. all my fish are in the sig

Are you sure they didn't die and they have eaten them abit, can you post water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

If I have a fish die in my tank, and the pleco gets to it before I do then he will eat the etnire thing. You pleco would not have killed them, but if they had died, then he would snack on them for sure.

It might have been the betta. I had neons a long time ago housed with my betta and 1 by 1 they dissapeared. I found fish heads in the tank. I would definatly bet that your betta did it. Unless it's water paras which then leads to other fish snacking on them - (which I doubt because your other fish are not dead)

HTH :)

When neons died they decompose very quickly and can disapear within 24hrs; also when they die it appears their eyes/stomachs are usually the first things to go either by your fish eating them or just decomposing.
It is unlikely your fish killed your neons but probably just ate them a bit as all fish canibalise a bit from time to time.
Neons are very sensitive to water quality conditions and tend to die very easily if the slightest thing is amiss so finding out your water stats like ammonia/nitrate/nitrite is very important.
