Hi,
I just wanted to see who had the oldest cat on here and if you want to share your pics. My cat is a tortoiseshell called Tabitha. She is comming up to 19 years old on the 5th Janurary. Unfortunately, she has liver and kidney damage/failure and a overactive thyroid gland (makes too much hormones meaning her body works overtime) and he has an irregular heatbeat.
Despite all that she is wonderful and ive been with her all my life (im 14).

Post some pics later.

Oldest cat was 21-22 years old.We did not know her exact birth date though.
She died of a tumor inbetween her eyes and skull, we had to put here down.
Her son lived to 21 but got hit my a coal truck, died halfway through the night, there were no vets on hand.

my mom had a cat named Cosmo who lived to be 19. i think she died of old age. she was very healthy. if you want to know the story of how my mom got her you can ask me to tell it. its pretty funny.

My cat is currently 17 years old. I got him for my birthday when I was 6 years old. He's starting to lose his eyesight, but other than that, he's in great shape!

Here's a pic of him. His name is Charlie.

Our oldest is Spunky and shes 18
Our youngers are Ivy, whos 2 1/2, and Boomer, whos 8 months

We lost our old cat tiger just under 2 years ago, we had to have him put down as he had allsorts of problems, kidney failure being the biggest. He was 24, it was very weird having a cat that was older then me, he was my husband's cat he'd had him since he was 4 so it was huge shock to lose him as he'd grown up with him and though of him like a little brother(my husband is an only child). I think the cat food company whiskas had him down on their customer records as their oldest cat up until he died.

Here's tiger when he was 21;

and a week before we had to have him put down;

my mom has a cat thats 18 or 19. the two i own one is 7 and the other is 2 their great espically if u have the automatic litter box (worth its weight in gold IMO)

Ginger was 25 when she died and the vet was able to confirm her age for me.

i have owned sevenx cats in my life. three lived to 21/22, one died at 12, from kidney failure, one left home, not sure why but she is still alive, guess about 18 now and two are still with me at 15.

okay cheezy since you asked for the story here it is.

(this is taken place at least 10 years after i was born, Cosmo died when i was about 2)

My mom was going to a funeral in Indiana for her grandfather. She was about to go into her car when a little ball of fuzz jumped into her car. she took the kitten out but when she was about to get into the car, the kitten jumped back in. this happened about 2 more times. Then, 2 kids came and she asked them if it was theirs. they said that it was the neighbor's but he and his wife were having a divorce and moving. They had a cat and 2 little kittens in a box in a garage and they were paying no attention to them. My mom ended up giving the kitten to them so she could get in her car. Then all day while she was at work, she kept thinking about the kitten and called her friend up that lived close there and asked her if she could find out if the kitten was adoptable. of course, it was and my mom got little Cosmo!

there are other funny stories about her like when she got stuck inside a wall if you want me to tell them.

this is RAJA.he is my oldest cat.14.which is pretty good considering he is an outdoor cat.he used to be indoors until we got our farm and now you can't get him to stay in.he is a very cool cat.he used to play fetch with little styofoam balls but now he mainly watches the birds and sleeps on our tractor.raja.jpg

Oh, I forgot to add our cats had lived outdoors for as much as they liked but were trained to come in when they were getting older.A year before before the oldest died I saw her crossing the road, she looked left right, paused, looked left right, went 1/4 onto the road, looked left/right again then sprinted across.They lived in 4 different houses and 3 were on busy roads.Clever lol...I read a post from years ago with people 'debating' whether or not cats should live inside or out.I'll start up a poll.

Great story matt, and nice cat bubbles :good:
