Hi everyone!,

I have a tetra that I got from my aunt 2 years ago, it's a pretty big size (it's a blackskirt tetra) when she gave it to me it was 9 years old, that was 2 years ago, so that means it'll be 11 this year! I didn't know tropical fish could live that long!
Anyone have this happen to them? BTW, it's still alive and doing extremely well! ^^

Sure! I managed to get a couple, not very good pics though, sorry! :(

oh you can just see he's an old man! Got the grumpy look mastered!

Well done you and your aunt for keeping him alive for so long :good:

Thanks Haych! hehe, I was thinking the same thing when I was taking the pics of him, he always has a grumpy look on him

Congrats! Most tropical fish rarely live their full lives. Oscars routinely get over 25 years if cared for properly, and rainbows can hit 15 years easily.

Ah, well that makes me feel like I'm doing something right!
I do have quite a few fish that are at least 5+ years (loach, and swordtails) hehe, wells thanks for replying! Sorry bout the quality of the pics, he was so hard to get pics of whilst moving around.. lol
