I acquired an adult male 7" Threadfin Acara (Acarichthys Heckelii) about six months ago and since that time he seems to be always battling a bacterial infection around his dorsal and anal fins. I have tried Myxazin several times and it helps only slightly. He has a good appetite and still guards his territory well and my water quality and maintainance is good. No other fish have ever been affected. Does anyone think he may just be getting old?
