I have one common plec he is about 5-6 inches long now and we have had him over a year. Now iv read in fish books that plecs generaly stay on the bottom or attatch to sides of the tank and revy rarely swim freely.
Mine on the other hand swims all arround the tank all the time and when i feed my fish he will flip himself upside dwn and suck the surface of the water eating food, sort of like an upside down catfish would. Does enyone elses plec do this? Is he normal or just a wierdow lol

it is surprisingly common for a common plec to be very active and eat at the surface. try feeding it a mushroom!

should i cut it up into lil peices first
well, cutting it up will definitely stop it swimming round the tank, lol. no,it's not a weirdo,my L001 has several mad sessions a day,as do most of my other plecos to some degree.
