what should i do next ? do i leave the female in the main tank or seporate her?
if i seporate her should i remove the pair or just the female ?
she is abought 3.5"-4" long can i put her or them in a 2.5 gallon ( only tank i have avalible) what will happen if i leave her in the main tank will the fry live?

this all went down today so i hear i have like 21 days right?

oh yea i forgot......so they did the whole circle thing he shimmied, she followed him around chasing the egg spots, circle thing, shimmie, eg spots, etc,etc,....
now for the sperm is it visable or not cause i didnt see any but this all took place in a cave so a could of lost it in a shadow just wondering ?

Well i just started raising my first batch of fry, and what I did as recomended was leave the fish in the tank for a week or two this allowed me to setup another aquarium and ensure the eggs were fertilized because they would eventually be spat if not, then i moved her to her own tank a 20 galon. When she spit the fry she kept picking them up again for four days then i caught her and returned her to her own tank
If she is left in the tank what happened to me was one fry survived, if you keep the pair he could will continue trying to breed with her and stress her out, just move the female
I don't think two and a half galons is big enough sorry I think ten gallons minimum
The female will know if the eggs aren't fertilized aso no need to worry about this
anything else?
