After hearing so much about Bettas over the last few months, I finally broke down and got myself one today 
. According to my internet search, I've come to the conclusion that he's of the Cambodian color variety, and a veil tail. So, apparently nothing special, but being my first one, it's fancy enough for me . I currently have him in a 10 gallon/ 41 liter tank with 3 Otos, and live plants, and he seems quite active, swimming around the tank. Now I don't feel so left out anymore when the other Betta owners are praising their fish .

Welcome to the world of Betta addiction. I now have 6, and am still looking for more places to put more. Glad to know that another betta is in a good home, congradulations, and enjoy him.
