My mate bought one of those small clown fish at rock bottom price online for his marine tank.....when it turned up there was 1 dead clownfish. He order 3?

You can really get ripped buying online, that's why it's best to order from someone reputable like modaz - and when you know someone from a forum like this, and know that many people have bought beautiful, healthy fish from that person, it's totally different than buying a pig in a poke from a stranger.
This forum has lots of benefits you wouldn't even think of!

Well i can vouch for modaz been to his shop more than i've been home
And only hear good thing from ebay and here so it's safe if the person is at home to collect the fish they day they state for delivery.
I've posted fish and never had a problem my self.

He is sooo pretty, can you gat another pic - don't matter if it is blurry, just wanna see colours. Poor old Splodge and Darth have only just taken over the space left by loki, looks like they might lose it again now... tank divided into 3 is calling out to me...

i will try, got to go in and do more pics for tonight so will add him on, might actually see if i can get a vid of him which would be easier but im a bit thick with vid and uploading he is a cracker, truely stunning.

I soooooo want him but he is gonna go for a fortune isn't he plus my boys are so happy with their extra space i don't think I could take that space off them again to fit in another betta. i am soooo sad, I have never seen a betta like that before. Thanks Daz.... but I have to think of the happiness of my other babies so i have to be unselfish. good job really cos I can see myself paying anything for him. Have you ever seen anything like him before - am i likely to find another like him in the future?

It's an archaic saying which I absolutely adore, although I'm not sure exactly what a 'poke' really does mean in this context, although I'm guessing it means some sort of a bag the pig's hidden in?
Or a quick poke into a crate that hides the actual pig?
At any rate, it essentially means buying something you haven't seen and can't see, so you don't really know what you're getting, with an implication that taking a stranger's word for its value may be a bad idea.

And I think there's some kind of a conspiracy against betta fanatics, with all these beautiful fish photos showing us what we could have if only...
