im not the jedi i should be
well i was expecting a shipment of bettas on wednesday. they didnt come.
i htought surely they would be there thursday then. no.
well i had to go out of town last night so i told my mom to call me when the fish got there so i could tell her how to acclimate them.
she called today. everyone was alive on arrival. i told her how to do everything and hung up assuming everything would be ok.
she called me later saying that she had a problem. she poured one of the fish down the drain.
i told her to pour the bag water into a cup or a bowl (so as not to get any nasty stuff in the tanks) but she apparently didnt htink the cup was necessary and one flopped down the drain.
she then ran water down the sink so he would have a chance to survive. i told her she shoud have just tried to unscrew the pipe instead because he flopped down after all of the water went so he was probably stuck at the bendy part. i told her that he was probably going to suffer in the septic tank for a while before dying.
she couldnt even tell me which one it was-im thinking it was the dt male. all she knows is that it was a dark colored fish. (shes not entirely sure it was a male either)
when she told me i started crying and i am crying again as i write this. i could tell that she was really sorry and she said she would buy me another one. it still hurts to think how that poor fish is going to live his last hours. hopefully he is already dead and he didnt have to endure too much pain.
rip little guy
