I got this 30 Gal tank (36 L x 18 H x 12 W) second hand from my ex boyfriends dad. (Thats a long story, I'll try and sum it up)
I broke up with him before I got into the hobby. We remained friends. Then I started dating his best friend (I know, bad move) But it's been three years and we're still together - but ANYWAYS when I got into this hobby I my bf (The one I'm with) Knew that my Ex had a big tank in the basement that they didn't use. He convinced them that it would be really great to give it to me - at least it would be used.
So one night while I was working they brought it to my house and cleaned it up for me - and took all the giant spiders out of it and everything
Anyways, I've been trying to give it a more natural look lately, getting into bog wood and all. You can see what it used to be in my sig.
I've recently realized that the light wasn't full spectrum and my Amazon swords were dying, so I went out and bought a full spectrum light and now I'm hoping they'll grow back to what they used to be
I don't have too many fish in it, only 2 female mollies, 5 Platy's (1m, 4F - two are fry), 1 Female guppy, 5 Cory's and my BNP. But I'm hoping to get some more plants in there growing first (And there's an Aquarium club in the area that is having an auction in a month so I'm saving up and planning on going to that and splurging - it's where I get all my plants, they're WAY cheaper!)
Here it is! It's not done yet, I need more live plants, but for the time being the blue plastic plants add a nice splash of color
Me being sneeky and hiding my pleco's hiding spot under some bog wood (That is heavy as lead! ) It never even floated when I tried to soak it, it just sat on the bottom of the bucket!
These are my cory's. They're AWESOME *Squee*
And there, hiding behind the filter intake is my BNP! I've had him/her for a little over a week, it's only about an inch long at this point. (It's always a treat when I find him/her, as he/she loves to hide from me
