So today my new tank came in. The other one was leaking. And when I drained it I realized it was leaking a LOT more than I originally thought )
And what better day to move the tank to the other side of the room than today! So I put my poor little Oscar in a 5 gallon bucket (the one I use to do water changes). Drained the water from the old tank into the new tank, took down the old tank, moved the stand, put the water in the new tank back in the old tank, put the new tank on the stand, and moved the water back into the new tank at it's new location. Put on the filter, gravel and "caves". Then finished filling the tank with fresh water.
Check on my poor little oscar, and he's laying on his side at the bottom of the bucket and his color's gone. Let the filter fun for half an hour. Poor little oscar's still on his side just laying there. Hadn't moved at all.
Well I think he was pouting, because as soon as I put him in the tank, he started swimming around checking out the place. All his color was back within a few seconds, and within 2 minutes he was back to re-arranging the "caves" and pushing gravel. He even ate a few pellets for me.
AND, to top it off, while I was at work my boyfriend found my acrylic tops!! They're the only tank tops I've found that fit with the Emperor 400 filter hanging.
It's 5:30am, I havn't slept yet, but I"m so happy! I love my ugly little oscar... and I"m SO glad to finally have the leaking tank taken down.
