They get moved back into the 20g when they color up (except maybe the plain Janes).

If he can keep himself from eating them, he's probably going to demand payment....he's kinda the babysitter.

Well, he's been fired from his post. Looks like he wanted to be prepaid and snacked on the baby guppies instead. Oh well, I had too many anyway. However, my dreams of adding a betta to the 20g are shot. *sigh* Oh well.


Hmmm, maybe a FEMALE betta in the big tank....

females will do just the same my aunt says the ones i gave her yesterday tried to eat a glolight and george the male wasnt interested....

Every betta is different. It depends on their temperment. You might be able to get away with a fem in your community tank, just keep an eye on her. I've always had good luck with male betta's in a community tank, and am having good luck right now with fems in my community tank.

Franko, the betta I described in this post, has gone to the big ricepaddy in the sky. He was the one that started it all, and I'll miss him. He was also my only veiltail.
