I got 6 Pristella’s , and 6 Rummy Nose tetras today… Pristella’s are about the size of medium male guppies, and the Rummy Nose’s about 1/4 inch longer… the Pristella’s “found” themselves, and shoaled right away towards the top… the Rummy Nose’s are starting to shoal, but initially spread out over the bottom

Hello. The Pristellas make very nice Glo Fish. I manage a tank in a local business and they have some Pristellas that are three different colors, very pretty. Nice fish.

You're very lucky to have found nice Pristellas. Most of the ones now available have been ruined by the glofish companies, or by line breeding of deformities. It's one of my favourite tetras, but I haven't seen half-decent ones in any lfs around here.

Thank You… Gary… remember, you’re welcome to come visit, but I’m well protected, don’t come around to steal my fish 😉

4 of the Rummy Noses have shoaled… I had 1 DOA… not seen the 5th yet… when I have the time I’ll probably have to look for another body

I have 6 borki’s coming for this South American tank… we’ll see if that’s enough, or if I want to order some more Rummy’s

Angels are leaving the little guys be… they did a half hearted chase when they 1st went in, like they thought they were food… they are good now… I expected more chasing from the apisto’s, but they have totally left them alone

love it! I have a singular giant rummy nose right now because all his friends died in a tank accident...
however, it's grown very big and vibrant, and also quite active. I think he likes the guppies and rasbroas.
Planning on getting 8 or 12 more.

Blue tetras (boehlkia fredcochea) were weird here.I think that's what your picture is. I've kept them twice. They could be nippy, and stayed far from where rummys congregated. They liked the lower third of the tank.
Plus they were never even close to as pretty as the photos, and were surprisingly delicate both times. If I were in your fish buying frenzy, I'd add more rummys. They are very prone to dying when shipped, so six is rarely enough.

Seller lists them as Knodus borki, formerly "boehlkia fredcochea"… I haven’t got them coming yet, they are in my cart... but I wanted something with a blue hue to them, & thought they might be perfect to add to the tank…I don’t need something with a neon blue, or electric blue, but I'll pull them out of the cart, if they are actually going to mess with the angels or apisto's… they are referred to, as a group of appearing sky blue

BTW… already have another group of 6 Rummy’s in my basket at a different seller than the African’s are coming from… that seller is currently out of the Rummy’s

Edit... I see that seller just got a new batch of Rummy's in stock... same scientific name, maybe a bit bigger than my last batch???

Any suggestions for a prepared food, for these babies??? I have been using Ultra Fresh’s tetra food, and it’s pretty small, but is quite large for the little pristella’s
