Odessa Barbs

I have a 70 litre tank and want to keep Odessa barbs as I saw them in the LFS. Would 4 be ok for that size of tank? Thinking of getting 1 male and 3 females as I know males can be a bit nippy.

Yes, unless you dont have many other fish in there already.

I was wanting to get either 6 odessa barbs and 5 dwarf chain loaches and 2 ottos for the 70 litre tank or if thats going to be overstocked then just the 4 odessa barbs and 5 chain loaches.

should be ok with everything. keep the ottos they are amazing. they help prevent algae which is a must!

i would go for 4 barbs and the loaches. ottos need to be in groups so get 4. they dont grow that quick. so go for 4 barbs 4 ottos and then the loaches. becuase the barbs will fill up the middle of the tank, the ottos hang on the glass and and ornaments and the loaches will be on the bottom.

Good, so thats 3 female odessa barbs, 1 male odessa barb, 6 chain loaches and 4 ottos in my 70 litre tank.
