I just read these articles and thought it was highly interesting and thought I'd share for all those that have pet mice.
According to scientists Timothy E. Holy and Zhongsheng Guo male mice produce high-frequency sounds when female mice or their pheromones are encountered. The sounds are much similar to bird songs, according to the articles.
So now there's scientific evidence that birds do it, bees do it, humans do it and mice do it (get your minds out of the gutter, I was referring to singing or songlike behaviour!)
