Okay..

Oddball tank.

My friend who just bought a 1200 gallon tank is going away for a few days.

He is going to search for some unusual Angels to add to his breeding program.

But while he is away, I decided that I'll stock his tank with some oddballs.

Just a few of course.

What are pretty hardy oddballs?????

Fire Eel, Tire Track Eel, Arowana, Sabre Tooth Tetra (don't get this), Puffers, Rays, Knife Fish and plenty more but they aren't all that hardy. Most Oddballs are pretty challenging to keep and or get pretty big.

Good Luck :)

Thanks...

I like eels... They always get me whenever I see them.

And since the tank is 1200 gallons. I don't think size will really matter.

Maybe a TireTrack Eel and a coupe puffers to begin with...

Late v-day gift

Yeah, I wouldn't add the Puffers though as most need Brakish water conditions and alot are small enough to fit in other fishes mouths like Tire Tracks, the Puffers are also highly aggressive.

keep in mind that any fish thet eats a puffer will end up dead or wishing it was. Arowanas could be kept and bred or clown knives.

What about a Mbu? Don't know if your tank is big enough though. They are a freshwater puffer that gets to 60 cm. Pretty cool 8)

if you wanted brackish i'd say archer fish...but freshwater i got no idea

or clown knives.

Clown Knives are good, but alot of small fish wouldn't be around for long.

If you have a tank that big than you might as well do one or two of the monsters. I mean when do you get a chance like that very often. I see clown knifes for sale in the store alot and have to wonder just how many people really have room for one of these monsters. I also saw yesterday an African Lung Fish or maybe one of the monster big cats. Lots of choices when you get up in that super tank range.
