Oddballs for a 45 gallon

I really want to get into oddball fish, but the biggest tank I have at the moment is a 45 gallon (36x18x16"). I'm going to get a Senegal Birchir, and I was wondering what kind of oddballs would get along well with it, and would be comfortable in the tank. It also has 2 Red Eared Sliders (turtles).

Never mix turtles and fish, the fish will get eaten sooner or later.

I've had fish in with these turtles for about 4 or 5 years. First, it was creekchub, then bullheads (a small catfish), and now some female Cons. The only fish that has ever been eaten by my turtles was fed to it, by me.
