I don't have a picture because the things are really to small for it. They're little blobs that are literally the size of a drop of water or smaller that are whitish and goofy and have a thread like tentacle that comes out, they remind me of little jelly fish with one tentacle. They're always attached to to the macro algae in my tank, they might be attached to the live rock too but they stand out enough on the macro for me to see them. As far as I can tell they don't really hurt anything, I usually just scrape them off as I find them and they don't sting my hand or anything and my seahorses and Firefish have never been stung that I have been able to see but the things keep coming back and it has become annoying to constantly scrape them off.
This morning though as I was feeding some enriched live brine shirmp to my seahorse to vary up their diet I bit one of the brine shrimp hit one of the little guys tentacles and it pulled him in, so it does appear as if the things are carnivorous, and as such might be capable of stinging, which means I want to know what they are and if there is any way to get rid of them.
Could they be tiny jellyfish in an earlier stage of their life cycle?
Thanks for any advice or help you can provide.
