If I were to mix live rock and ocean rock together will the ocean rock eventually become 'live'?

Sure will. Just make sure you get a decent amount of LR

ocean rock wont become live, its not pourous enough, reef bones would

As Ben said ocean rock is generally too dense to become as effective as LR its better to use reef bones or Dead LR

It depends on the LFS Nemo as some label Ocean Rock incorrectly Ocean Rock will weigh twice the weight of a lumb of LR

thats ocean rock ^ sort of shiney and smooth on the surface
reef bones looks just the same as normal live rock, just with no corraline

Ohhhhhhh. Yes, that doesn't look like it'd make very good LR
