Hi I'm new 2 co2 in tanks would this be a good starter kit ? NUTRAFIN NATURAL CO2 SYSTEM

What size tank is it for?

My personal opinion is that you can achieve the same effect with an empty bottle of pop, some CO2 tubing and some standard supermarket yeast and sugar.  The only thing you're really buying is the Hagen ladder diffuser, if you want one that's fine but otherwise you could consider a ceramic diffuser instead.

If you want to go DIY then I recommend this site:   http://www.co2art.co.uk/   This is the setup I use:
CO2 tubing £1.50/m
Ceramic nano diffuser £3.95
Glass CO2 bubble counter £2.95
Nano drop checker + drop checker solution

edit:  oh and a check valve!

I am also eager to know about these co2 systems!! I wanted one but I am hesitant now as it just seems like so much money and time. I don't really have much of those lool. I would als recommend the bottle, sugar and yeast method to others if you have the time to set it up but if not then I would just go ahead and buy the co2 system. I know that I would just purchase the co2 system.

Well, I have just ventured into the world of Co2, bit of a learning curve but not that difficult actually.

I started off with mini Co2 pressurised system for a Nano tank, a little pricey but i learned a lot from it.
Now am about to start doing a DIY system using a 2 kg Fire Extinguisher as this will last far longer than the mini bottles of Co2.

DIY yeast method as used by various members here has yielded good results for a fraction of the cost of pressurised systems.

Entirely depends on your tank size and set up and which system you are most comfortable in starting off with.

No right or wrong answers here, all a learning experience and time will tell which you feel best with
