Nutrafin Co2 Q's

Okay i got the nutrafin co2 system yesterday and im amazed it actually works! I went by the guide in the pinned topic about the nutrafin co2, about the amount of sugar and yeast im supposed to add.
Anyway, i just want to ask a few q's. WHen does the co2 actually get into the tank? Is it as soon as the bubble comes out of the airline or when the bubble hits the surface? Is the 'second line' the faint line about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up the column?

Oh yeah what plants do really well in co2 conditions? Ive got riccia and some grassy stuff that acts like a carpet aswell as all ohter types of plants
 
CO2 will help any type of plant...its one of the main ingredients for successful growth...depends on your lighting, and your ferts method
 
Regarding the "lines" - are you referring to lines mentioned in the directions, when it says to put sugar in to the first line and fill with water to the second line? Those lines are the little bits of plastic sticking out vertically in the canister. Sugar to the top of the first plastic thing, water to the top of the second.

I thought it was when it comes out of the airline? Since doesn't co2 interchange with the water happen when the bubbles are slowly dissolving in the water. When the bubble hits the surface doesn't that mean the co2 is expelled into the air? I could be wrong.....
 
As the CO2 bubbles travel through the Nutrafin ladder/diffuser, they become smaller. This is the CO2 dissolving into the water. The longer the path the bubble takes the better. In a perfect diffuser the bubble would completely disappear before reaching the surface.

This is why CO2 mist/microbubbles are effective i.e. from glass/ceramic diffusers, as they are so small they diffuse more efficiently. With good circulation the microbubbles are "blown" about allowing more CO2 bubble/water contact time.
