heres the deal ive been trying to grow triops an they come with this lil nuetrition packet that your spose to keep in the water. so i keep all my fish an animal stuff in one corner an my lil cousins came over while i stayed out one night an my stupid step mom let them into my room but anyways they PUT one of the nuetrition packs into one of my betta tanks an i didnt notice it for a till like 2 days later cuz it was behind the plant(i already took it out) but i did notice that my betta that had looked kinda natty(i bought him with nipped fins) started looking better an growing more fins day by day. could this nuetrition packet have done any good.

I'm not tryin to start a huge rant room for ppl. just tell me if you think the packet had any bad/good effects.

an dont tell me "oh blah blah you did something wrong" cuz F U i got it out as soon as i noticed

i dont think that will get you any nice replies, cause you already stated that you couldnt see it because it was behind the plant. imo, statements like this get people pissed

anyways back to your question. it depends on whats in the packet. i doubt the stuff in the packet wouldve helped it heal just after a few days. the best thing to do is to get some indian almond leaf or some blackwater extract. this stuff is great and its backed up with proof that it works. i have blackwater extract, but ive never tried indian almond leaf. they are pretty much the same thing though.

lol i dont know where to buy that leaf stuff an i dont really wanna order it online. an i dont know what was in the nuetrient packet. it doesnt say.

lol i wanted to make sure ppl knew i got it out as soon as i noticed cuz im pretty sure some ppl might flip out seeing that a nuetrient packet for triops got into my betta tank an i didnt notice for 2 days.

People will flip out more by the comments you type, trust me. I have no idea what was in the nutrition packet, but to be on the safe side I would do a complete water change to get it out of the water.

Just remember what assume really means. It makes an ass out of u and me. In the future, please do not assume what people will think, say or do. This forum is very friendly and normally the people here are very helpful. Keep that in mind, and perhaps you can edit that first post? That comment was entirely unneccesary and IMO uncalled for.

well i say what i said an i stick by it. ya an i did do a 100% water change(thats how i noticed the packet) but any ways i will be taking the fish with me to my grandmums for 4 days to keep an eye on it an make sure it doesnt make a turn for the worst. an i got my dad feeding my fish till tuesday when i come back. but to be honest i wanna keep an eye on Yoshyuki for a week or so to make sure something bad doesnt happen so i can be there.

I can't imagine what could have been in it, but I don't know that it could have done any good for the fish. As for harm...does the fish seem to be suffering at all? If not, then it probably didn't hurt anything.

Kudos to you for getting it out soon as you found it, and kudos to you for doing a water change. I think that's really the best you could have been expected to do. Children can be such a nuisance, and sometimes you can't figure out what they've done until a while after they've done it.

Honestly, though, if the fish is all right after two days with it in, I rather doubt it's done any harm. Just try to keep that stuff locked away in case they decide to do it again.

Hmm, I've searched around a bit, since this is sort of interesting, and I can't find out what's in the nutrient pack. I just so happen to have a pack of Triops sitting on top of my fridge, I bought them years ago. They have the tea bag pack, but I apparently lost the information sheet. Do you still have that by chance? Does it say what it is?

I found this on one site...
These are the only Triops kits that keep the water crystal clean with a new sealed nutrient pack.
What on Earth?
That came from here....

Either way, I'm sure it won't hurt your fish and you changed the water, so..

I wonder what's in the pack...
I cut mine open and it looks like catnip.

i still got every thing that came with the kit of triops an it jus says it keeps them healthy an "thriving" but im leaving around 4pm today on a 2hour care trip an im taking the betta to make sure it doesnt get sick
