Grrr.... it has been months since I've had a case.... now, I have 2 possible 3 neons with NTD (2 to be euthanized shortly).

Is that normal for NTD to come back to life after long periods of no signs of it?  When I got my neons back in the fall I lost one after the other a month apart.  Then began euthanizing the moment anything showed and then it stopped and it has literally been months since then... now... 2 for sure at the same time... very likely a 3rd (just want to be sure it isn't the angle of the light).

Also... I have observed... only my males seem to come down with it... no females so far.

This would be the only reason why I never kept Neons. There one of the non hardyest fish in the hobby now and are just depressing to watch die.

Sorry to hear about the issues, It's quite hard to control once it starts.

I think I have a 4th now too.  :(  I have one, though, with different symptoms to all others but likely falls into the same category.  I have 3 for sure now with the very beginning of that fading on the red stripe... but I have a 4th with no fading but its tail curving sideways.  I shall be removing all 4 and hoping for the best.

All removed, my remaining 8 or 9 (not sure, will have to re-count them)... are all huddled together in the corner.  I don't think they like the sudden drop in numbers.

Not sure what to do with them at this point.  The remaining ones look in good shape, none of the other fish in my tank are susceptible to NTD (which is good!)  Not sure if I just leave them be and let the numbers drop off sooner or later (feel bad if I end their lives too soon and it was several months since my last occurrence until today).

I am sure I will replace them with cardinals, but not sure if I will wait until they are gone and add the cardinals together or add them in smaller groups until the neons are gone.
