I was looking at some plant pictures tonight and found a picture of Java Fern. It looks similar to something I have in my tank (that happened to come attached to the Hygro that I got). Whaddya think? The big brown stem is from an Oak Leaf, FYI. If this is Java Fern, how do I "plant" it?

Thanks.

yip if java fern,

you cant plant it, but tie it to a stone of wood or some thing if you want to, also makes a good ground cover for a low light setup..

get some fine nylon fishnets, and a plastic grid put the fern ontop of the grid and cover it with the net, might take a month or two but will grow to a fine matt under the net and a lot of leaves growing up, looks like grass, thats needs to be trimmed to keep the matt look..

That's java moss.

It can attach itself to objects, but it will be quicker to do it yourself. I've used fishing line to attach it to rocks. The java moss in my 55 gallon attached itself to driftwood.
