Now I'm Done For

Now Ive done it. I accidentaly ordered a Koran Angel (thats right, Pomacanthus semicirculatus). It was meant to be a Coral Beauty, however when that was not available, my LFS manager got me a Koran instead.

I have a 55 gallon, it will probably be upgraded to a 150 before six months have past. I realize that they eat zooanthids, and my zoos are in the refugium for now.

What on earth can i do to keep this animal in my 55 until i get the 150? How fast do they grow? Will i be destroyed by this animal? Please help!

Depends on how large the Koran is, if they are pretty small you can sometimes get them eating prepared foods instead of corals. You should keep him very fat and happy until you get him into the 150 gallon (sooner the better)

O.K., thanks for the advice. He is just a baby, around 3''. What will become of my invertebrates?

You asked for a coral beauty, the fault is clearly with yor LFS and you have no obligation ot have it.

Nice fish thought it is, its simply going to be too large for the system. I gave away my Koran Angel and that was only a Juvenile in a 100 gallons system ( thats about 120 US gallons) as i knew it was going to be far too small. It was already looking out of place in the tank so i did the right thing and gave him away to a person with a 350 UK gallon system.

gave him away?? Lucky person to who ever got it.. im gonna setup 6x2x1.5 (feet) for a reef. and me 6x2x2 feet) for a fish only. i`ve tried selling the tanks, but noone is interested in buying big tanks. so i might as well put them to good use.. Me gf anit to pleased but hey its my house.. haha.

Well, my dad and i are going to build a tank, that will hopefully be 8' by 4'. Thats why i am accepting this fish. Will that be big enough?
